I believe every child is special, and I want to make each child feel special
As a trained Primary School Teacher, Louise understands the importance of academic and life success, but believes that this can be a positive outcome when tamariki are supported socially and emotionally. It’s this holistic approach to learning and life, which drew Louise to the role as Whanau Coordinator for Tikipunga Primary School.
Louise is passionate about being a Mum to her two young children and aims to be a positive role-model and the best version of herself each day. It’s this positive mindset which drives Louise, who is motivated by seeing others achieve and help them realise their full potential.
Louise loves sports and keeps fit with regular hikoi up Parihaka, and as a former swimming instructor, Louise loves the water. During holidays to her home in the Hokianga, you’ll often see Louise with whanau at the beach or on the odd occasion, learning to dive.
Louise is also passionate about Te Reo Maori and normalizing Maori language within the kura and community. Louise is always keen to learn new kupu and you’ll no doubt hear her use this with our tamariki.
