A class of "Dreamers" is an entire Year level in a single primary school, which generally means from 30 to 60 children. A Sponsor chooses a site in consultation with local school officials and
community-based organisations, identifying communities where the need exists and the logistics of running a programme favour success.

An "I Have a Dream"® Project does not pick either the"cream of the crop" or those children perceived to be most at risk: it offers the same opportunities to every child in the selected Year level.
